Saturday, day 13: Rome
We had a very successful morning and lucked into a very beautiful Mass at St. Paul Outside the Walls. On Friday, I scheduled Masses for St. John Lateran and St. Mary Major through a contact here in Rome. She is very helpful. I remember telling Fr. Socias it would be helpful to have a person in Rome that we could call any time to arrange things for us; Claudia seems to be that person. Fr. Baker bought us all a month-long bus pass for 30 Euro apiece. Two rides a day are two Euro, so if you make 15 trips, it’s worth it to avoid the hassle of buying individual rides. We should be close to that number on “official” trips, but the students will get their use out of them running around Rome on days off.
