Blessed John XXIII National Seminary
Joseph questioned whether he would be able to persevere through the years of study and preparation required for priestly ordination because of his age and because he did not have a college degree. However, being an active parishioner, catechist, and member of the Knights of Columbus helped Joseph grow closer to Christ and to embrace God’s call to the priesthood.
Joseph was greatly encouraged by the many people around him who supported his decision to enter the seminary. He was particularly inspired by his pastor’s outgoing and youthful ability to help “people get closer to Jesus by inspiring and re-energizing the parish”; by other men and priests who entered the seminary later in life; and, by his parent’s faithful and dedicated life to the Church and to their family.
Joseph is looking forward to being a part of The Rome Experience this summer because, “In the end, I know that my faith and vocation both will grow and be strengthened as a result of this opportunity.”
